It’s just not clicking!

Case study: Leadership & Management Training for a Rapidly Growing Global Manufacturer

A fast-growing solar panel manufacturer was experiencing the strains of rapid scale: new managers with no prior leadership experience, uneven expectations across teams, and a growing sense of distrust between the workforce and senior leadership. They needed a practical, expedient way to align behaviors and equip people at all levels with the fundamentals of effective communication and management.

Working closely with HR, Growing Wild designed a multi-track learning program tailored to their needs. All employees were invited to an effective communication course, while supervisors, managers, and directors participated in a series of development sessions focused on advanced communication, management essentials, and leadership behaviors. Sessions used manufacturing-relevant examples, workplace simulations, role-playing, and real-life scenarios—far more engaging than a traditional lecture-based approach. Each participant received a practical workbook with tools they could apply immediately, including templates for planning difficult conversations and building leadership routines.

Participants reported greater confidence, new habits for planning and people development, and an improved ability to work constructively across different communication styles. Leaders shared that the training “helped them remember that their way is not the only way,” leading to more thoughtful and collaborative interactions.

As one leader summarized: “Laurel makes complex topics easy to understand and immediately useful. Her training created lasting impact across our organization.”
